KOIWAI Winter Lights Night of the Galactic Farm 2024
One of the largest illumination events in Tohoku. KOIWAI Winter Lights Ginga Farm no Yoru” will be held for the 11th time this year.
Approximately 600,000 LED bulbs will light up the vast Makiba Garden. In addition to the illuminated liner and lights, lanterns made from milk cartons and a light maze will also be on display. Fireworks will also be launched on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Saturday, November 23, 2024 – Monday, January 13, 2025
*Fireworks: Tuesday, December 31, 18:30 (approx. 5 minutes); Wednesday, January 1, 19:30 (approx. 5 minutes)

●During the period, Makiba-en opens at 12:00 (12:00-15:00), admission is free. Only some facilities are available.
Please note that you will be asked to leave the park at 15:00.
Stores and food outside the park will also be open during this period (11:00-19:00).
To prevent accidents such as collisions, please refrain from bringing sleds and self-propelled vehicles (tricycles, bicycles, kickboards, kids’ bikes, etc.).

Local buses are closed during the winter, but extra buses will operate during the “KOIWAI Winter Lights Ginga Farm Night” event.
